Plan activation

Understand checkout, reviewed plans, and public pricing

A clear boundary between published pricing, plan activation review, usage visibility, checkout, webhooks, and billing synchronization.

The short version

No self-serve charge, automatic upgrade, or automatic downgrade is performed. Plan changes are activated with help from our team.

01

Public prices are targets, not entitlement proof

The marketing site describes the intended Developer, Starter, Growth, Scale, and Enterprise ladder. Backend Stripe products, price IDs, usage synchronization, and enforced entitlements are not presented as aligned.

The workspace tier shown in the dashboard is useful context but does not prove a self-serve purchase completed.

02

Checkout and webhooks remain off

Authorized Owner and Billing roles can open Stripe Checkout for Growth and Scale. Starter and Enterprise remain reviewed activation paths, and automated usage billing stays disabled.

The billing synchronizer is excluded from the launch deployment or explicitly disabled. No live Stripe connection is required for this flow.

03

Who may request a plan review

Owner and Billing roles are the intended billing-management roles. Admin, Developer, Viewer, suspended, and non-member accounts cannot manage billing checkout.

A plan-review request is a conversation, not an automatic charge or entitlement change.

04

Share context, never payment secrets

Include the workspace name, current tier, intended usage shape, and a safe reply address. Never send payment credentials, API keys, cookies, Stripe secrets, or customer request data by email.

Before you move on

  • Checkout-disabled message is visible
  • No live Stripe key or payment credential is used
  • Plan request comes from an Owner or Billing member
  • Public price is not treated as active entitlement proof
  • Billing synchronizer remains absent or disabled
